I shot my first doe on Sunday morning in Comanche County in Texas. It is my first kill with a bow, and my second time out in one weekend. I shot her at about twenty yards and she only ran about thirty to fourty yards when I heard her crash from the tripod stand. I know I might catch flak from some of yall because she's small, but I couldn't have asked for a better first deer and I am very happy with this one. Everyone I've talked to was right, once you bowhunt the rifle's gone, and I haven't even rifle hunted.

Congrats, I am a new bowhunter as well. You should be proud. I dont think anyone on this board will bash you, this is a pretty good bunch as far as I can tell.

Any bow kill is a "good" kill. Thats pretty awesome, I like the pic with the family.

Congrats on a great deer. Size isnt always what makes a deer special, so with that being said anything can be a trophy.
