As many of you know, I lost my bow this weekend. After miles and miles of driving around, I finally put an add in the news paper yesterday. Today I got a call at 7:45am, and a guy said that his buddy has my bow. He's going to call me because he is coming to the oklahoma city area. I can't believe it, I considered this thing to be way gone. The guy said he too was a bowhunter and understood what this probably meant to me. yes it is. And I forgot, the bow made it all the way home from the woods and fell out when we made a left hand turn out of the gas station. The guy saw it fly out and went and got it, but by then we were already down the road.

You got lucky, last year, a week before season opener, someone broke into our garage and stole my bow, which was my husband's first bow that he had given to me and his brand new Parker Mag which we had just spent a ton of money on... I was NOT a happy camper. All this happened the DAY after we spent an entire day at the range sighting the pins and setting the bows up to our likings. Lots of money and time down the drain. Insurance wouldn't cover us either because we didn't have pictures or receipts... we learned our lessons though, they are locked in our house in the gun cabinet now.... count your lucky stars boy, it could have been worse. I am happy for you, I don't wish that loss on anyone, especially going into the opener!

Cardeer, the buddy that was with me this weekend has an auto recycling place on NE 23rd. It's a very small world.

If you're hunting private land, invite he and his buddy to a hunt on your place. Bowhunters will always appreciate a hunt on some new land.

Well, this guy turned out to not be as "honest" as we thought. I went to get the bow and his wife told me how they watched it fall out of our truck, then dodged traffic to get it. But then, when I asked him if it looked like everything was okay, he goes "well I thinks someone got to it before I did and took some of your broadheads out." immediately I knew something was up. Evidently he had shot something and broke a couple arrows and broadheads. He then took the bow to work and was bragging about it and trying to pawn my razortec, TR sight & rest, 12 axis arrows, 6 slick tricks, 2 short n sweets and the case for $250. Some of his work guys told him what he was doing was wrong. That is when his friend called me. So I went and got the bow today, and when I got home there was a another call from the same area code. It was another guy that he works with and told me the situation. Evidently the guy that found it is a piece of work, he owes LOTS of people money and never pays up. But I'm not complaining, my baby is back in my hands!

Also the guy that called me tonight started talking about bowhunting. He invited me to come the his ranchand bowhunt. I told him I would give him some Sooners tickets and now I have a new hunting spot. Sorry for the long post. What a day, what a day.
