Warning... Lot's of Pics!!

Got out to one of the farms today to do some turk huntin/yote huntin and some deer scouting for the upcoming bowseason (Oct 15th!!!!). Had a great day:

Deer are eatin good:

Tried to get some yotes while I was out but didn't get a close enough shot on any of 'em. Had 3 encounters with some yotes today (one really big one too). I posted the days events on that subject over in the yote board: http://racksandspurs.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=Predator&action=display&th read=1128369996
Here's what I pulled the trigger on today:

I had a good time to say the least! :)

Thanks! It really is God's Country out there. That's what I love about scouting right before bow season. It's a great chance to get out there and learn how the woods are moving when you're not around!

It's in Upstate New York... the farmer's land is all over the county. I've got access to their private land of about 2,000 acres! I landed a good gig with them that's for sure and I count my blessings for knocking on their door two years ago.:D

Looks like it could be 7M - Or is it to the East?

Nice looking property - Looks like my drive to work everyday. - Funny how the colors seem slow to really come on this year.

Good luck hunting this fall.

I'm in zone 4A & 4B... will also be hunting 6G this year as well if I get the chance to head up north this fall. Went to the farm the other day and the sign is really starting to show with the wet weather we've been having lately. Mud can be your best friend in finding fresh tracks. It's been so dry lately that this rain we've been getting has been a blessing... but now it's going on for too long. Saturday is D-Day so hopefully the weather will cooperate.:)

the green barked tree that te rubs are on....anyone know what kinda tree that is?

Where we hunt in Va. it seems that is the only tree they will rub...other area's they will rub the cedar's, smaller saplings....but this one particular parcel it seems that is the only tree the deer will hit or atleast prefer to hit....which I think is kinda odd. Have always wanted to know what is so appealing about it...but never knew what tree to look up... [&:]

So when I am coming up there to hunt, 2000 acres is enough for several of us....:D

Great looking land, good luck this year, you will probably shoot a big one!

Yeah I hear ya! I love seeing the pics from other's land as well. Good to see the difference in areas! I went out tonight to clear some shooting lanes for this Saturday. After clearing it out I walked the fringe of the woods and the field and turned around and saw a buck just walking from where I just was!! I swore I left at least a decent amount of scent in there from the trees I cut and handled but it didn't seem to bother him. I got a pic of him when he first came out... sorry about the blurryness but was all I could do with the digi cam zoomed in all the way with no tripod to steady. He eventually got within about 100 to 75 yds and then back in the woods. A decent basket six which I'd sling an arrow through for some meat in the freezer and a wall antler mount... then I saw a nice buck down below about 500 yds out which I let be.... FOR NOW!! Saturday can't get here soon enough. Here's the pic:
