The best hunting show idea ever!!!!!
 

Hi there folks... We got something special for you today!!!! Today we're gonna be hunting outta Arkansas for some nice white-tailed deer. And we're goin to be hunting on food plots. Now for our day's tip on hunting we have a section for you to learn how to manage your land, using foodplots!!! Then we're gonna go over to Kansas and have an exciting hunt showing you the advantages of adding a foodplot to your piece of land.

Come on!!!!!! Just show me some guys hunting bow for El Largo white-tailed deer i don't gove a s*!~ about foodplots

I hear ya man. I wish they would take the cameras to a big WMA (public area) and go hunting sometime. Might add some credibility. Anyone with money can get on a big one. Let's see some skill for a change.

I'd love to see a bowhunting episode where guys were hunting big woods deer in Pennsylvania...no full coverage blind, no bait, no foodplots, no fences, no ranch, and just "mabey" using stickbows from the ground, where at the end one of them might be lucky enough to stand proudly with their Pennsylvania forkhorn. Kill or not, that would be a show that I could appreciate.

Ahhh my spiritual blood brothers of the arrow I am too with you...

Have you seen the (new to me) Team Fitzgerald shows? I've now caught 2 of them & they're as 'true to life' as I get!!!

One segment in the last episode showed them catching and KEEPING waleyes for the fry - that's rare these days!

One other note - have you caught the Primos Truth series this year - where do they find all those elk??? Are they paying big $$ on private ranches too???

AMEN sorry for saying, if there are any big executive guys on this board but come on.... Who's the real hunter here???? a guy that goes on sponsorship to all these ranches to shoot a buck or a guy that spends 2-3 years in the hunt for one particular buck and maybe squeeking off a couple others in the process. I'm not trying to take away from any of the big dogs... Lord knows i'd like to have my own hunting show but, come on guys we need more realism.

Yea youve got that right, lets see some real hunting.....where its not so easy to hunt funnels, food plots , wind direction etc.
heck where i hunt the wind swirls all the time.

Hunting with a bow brings about a different challenge on every hunt!!!

A while back there was a thread about how many of us have never seen the show folks track a deer. They just kind of "walk up" and hey! Here he is!

There was one show where a "famous person", was bow hunting for the first time. He took a shot a really big whitetail and tagged it, but the arrow seemed to be barely sticking in. You saw the deer running away with 90% of the arrow sticking out, flopping as he ran.

Next shot - there is the "famous person" over the deer, etc. Make one wonder if there was not someone in the back ground with a 30 30 waiting to finish the buck off if thing did not go right for the shoot.

Enough rambling........ Reality - what a concept.

I cant remember which show it was but it shows this woman deer hunting and she's all dolled up - makeup, earrings, and manicured nails (painted no less). I'm like, what the ???? I mean really...these guys promote every scent elimination product out there and here's this woman in make-up and probably perfume. Then she takes out this huge buck from 300 + yards with a rifle. I say, show me the gal with coon piss on her boots, dirt under her nails, a dip of Skoal in her lip taking out a big boy with a bow from 20 yards and in. Now that's hunting.

I'd also like to see a show where they do a beginner series. One that shows how to practice bowhunting (stance, grip, etc.),how to scout, deer stand placements, the advantages of funnels, how to find beds, how to make a mock scrape, making deer calls, wind direction concerns, shot placement, blood trails, and gutting a deer (ok maybe the cant show that on TV but maybe use some type of diagram) and finally tell me for once how long the guy had to stay at his stand until one finally came by. Instead of these guys who always seem to harvest a P & Y within what appears to be 22 minutes.

To me an educational series would be far better than watching Jackie kill a P&Y while whispering to his camerman &quot;is my hair ok?&quot;
