? about rubs..

I know multiple deer will share/work the same scrapes, but do they do this with rubs too?

I have seen a young 8 point, 2 morningsnow rubbing the same tree line. There are some impressive rubs on this tree lineand if I had not seen thedeer doing the rubbing, I would have assumed it to be a large mature buck, at least bigger than this 8 is. Are there such a thing as community rubs, just like scrapes?

I may be mistaken, but I don't think deer "freshen" up rubs as they do scrapes. So, I doubt there is such a thing as a "communal" rub, however, I am most confident different deer will rub trees in the same area.

sure they do. There are glands located on a buck's forehead, and by him rubbing on the tree, scent is deposited. Theory is that dominat bucks will rub on trees previously rubbed by lesser bucks in order to deposit their scent.

Agree with Damage. About everything they do during rut is to get chicks leaving scent in any way they can. Young and stupid will undoubtedly try to leave his card in a place where the monsters mark territory.

He just better not be around when big daddy comes making rounds.
