Looks like you have some generous offers. Keep us posted on how things turn out. I don't have an extra bow but I could donate some money and I can send you some arrows.

hey guys, unfotunately I didn't find the bow. I called the local police, sheriff and HP and left my information with them. I will also call the area newspaper on Monday and place an ad.

Buellhunter and Dangolbowhunter: I can't explain the feeling that came over me when I read your all's posts. Honestly, my eyes got wattery and I got a little choked up. Thank you both so much for you offers. I will definitely let you guys know what my plan is on Monday. Once again I cannot explain my thanks to you.

As huge of a deal as this feels, I guess I do have a lot of things to be thankful for as I know there are many people that can't even get out into the woods and enjoy everything that we do. Since I don't have a bow, I am going to see if I can make a neat video to post on here.

As for the rest of the hunt, one buddy killed a nice 8 pt. and another shot a very nice 10. The 10 is currently bleeding out as it was not a great shot. Wish us luck this evening and thanks to everyone for your support.

I still have my Alpine Impact Xtreme. The draw length is very adjustable and it's set at 65#. I'll meet you at the Red River if you need it for the year. It does need a new string. PM me if you want it.

Dwd I returned your PM.
Let me know what you need.
I can UPS the bow on Monday so you'd have it by next weekend.

You have my cell number

This brings up something we all should think about.
A loaner program for people like Dwd that lose or break their bow at the worst time.
I have kept that bow for just such an emergency.

I just hate to see anyone miss deer season!

What an absolute bummer for ya dwd. I'm glad someone here was able to offer you a loaner though. I would have been one as well, but my cousin has my old Reflex Extreme for the year because it turned out he had a problem with his Golden Eagle. He and I were shooting the BH course at our archery club in August, and he was having a real hard time hitting anything. I gave him the berries about it a bit, but he said he just couldn't figure out what was wrong....he said he'd hold dead on and still miss. I asked him if I could shoot it as we're about identical in size, and I couldn't hit a dang thing with it. He could shoot my bow just fine; so we figured there was a bad problem.
We took it to the pro shop I go to, and my guy took a while to check everything out...string, buss cables, and when it came down to it, a twisted limb was the problem. I felt so bad for him because he just couldn't afford the repair this year with a 7 month old baby, and his wife going to nursing school full time. He turned and looked at me and said, "looks like I'm out for the year." I asked Doug, my pro, how long he'd be in, and we went home and got my other bow. He took a real nice doe Sept 17th on the opener with it that dressed at 121 lbs.
I think Buellhunter has a great idea with the loaner program though in the event something like what happened to dwd or my cousin. It could literally save someones season for them.
