I can't believe.........
 

..........that I get to go sit in a treestand and hunt tomorrow morning. It just seems like a few days ago I was perched in my Summit, freezing my arse off, watching bucks chase does around my tree......and now it's here again. It seems the older I get, the faster time cruises by between seasons, and I'm only 31, and it still feels like Christmas for 6 weeks every year. I know one things for sure, Saturday October 1st, I get to live for real for a few months of the year, and I can't wait. I can't wait to hear those first faint hoof steps in the leaves, see that first tail flicker or antler shining in the thicket, and watch that first arrow hammer it's way home so I can chow down on some fresh jerky. Is there really anything better??

It's time to forget about the job. It's timeto feel thechilly breeze. It's time to smell the woods. It's time to breath the air. It's time to live. It's time to hunt.

my thoughts exactly mikey. thats the main reason i want to shoot a deer tomorrow is so i can make jerky. i have been cravin it all summer:D

Man I love it the weather here in Texas has went from 109 deg.daytime and 80 deg. at nite to 80 in the day and 55 at nite . man my neck is starting to swell. good luck to ya.
