Another Ground Blind Question

I have a dog house ground blind, and I was wondering if most people just open the little windows, or if you open the big ones...

RE: Another Ground Blind Question

I usually have it set up to only shoot out of 1 window. I will use the big one to shoot out and usually open the smaller ones or even the smaller ones partially open to see out the sides. I don't like too much light from the sides because the darker I can keep it inside the less can be seen in. I also bought some camo cloth and am going to stitch it to the inside from about half-way up to the top. It seems like the deer can't see in too well when its dark but they don't seem to like the dark hole. I'm going to try the camo and see if it works better.

RE: Another Ground Blind Question

Last year I shot out of only one porthole and had it open. This year I'm set up using two w/the shoot through mesh. Last year I was a little afraid of the mesh as I hadn't tried it. Practiced this year with itand it works really slick. Can't wait to try it in the field.

You actually shoot through the mesh, or you pull it down first and then shoot through the window?

I have a Double Bull Matrix and you actually shoot right through the mesh. It is awesome and doesn't affect arrow flight.

How many shots before your mesh is all mangled up?
