when people post the arrow blew through the far shoulder after it went through both lungs can you show me what you mean useing the picture.

maybe they are saying that they had a shot that was not totally broad side,quartering away.it went through the back of the near side lung and the front of the off lung then it hit the shoulder on the off side.
thats the only thing I can think of and what you are asking.

I guess I'm having trouble defineing what the shoulder is. to me is the area around the large scupla bone and I guess that other bone going down to the leg. but I don't see how they get through lungs and then get up that high to hit the far scupla, unless they shoot them uphill. but many post they are in a tree and do it. so I get confused.

the best way to figure it out , is get you a deer target and visualize the lungs and then the far side leg bone. it can happen.top of one and the bottom of the other and the bone.
look at the target and lay and arrow on top and then lay one against the chest and see where the lay and where they would go when shot.

I've found that when people say that, most of the time they're talking about the meat, muscle, cartiledgeand junk surrounding the actual bone. Once in a while they hit the bone. In my opinion, people are quite liberal when they say it blew through the shoulder.

Exactly what Davidmil said........ I doubt you will find many that actually blew thru both shoulder bones....

So when people post that the such and such broadhead blew through both shoulders they really probably didn't. Looking at the picture if they did actually get through both shoulder blades they didn't get much lungs.
