But he's standing in tall grass which would screw your arrow flight up. I think this is a question that really has no right answer. Its all about your ablility,equipment, confidence, etc.... I think I would have taken the shot as thats a once in a lifetime deer and I think i'd have the means to make a good shot. I hope you get another look and I don't disagree with your decision at all.

I would let my arrow fly. Having said that, it is hard to know what you would do until in the same position.

I think I would too... but have passed on a stalked 11 point at 12 yards... we were face to face when he noticed me.... straight on shot.. and did not like it... waited for him to turn and run but missed the moving shot.... I was not going to take a shot I did not think was good.. I was more comfortableattemptinga moving shot...It still lived that season so I was the only one hurting...
