Snicker's Ad = Dumb Looking Hunters?
 

How many have seen the Snicker's ad where the Hunters sneak up on a deer and throw Snicker's bars at the deer? After they see the deer run off they all look dejected and dip their heads downwards in embarrassment. Plus, they all look to me as good ol' mountain boys and place us all in a very bad stereotypical role.

The ad disturbs me a lot. Any other input on this terrible stereotype attack?

I've also had my questions about the commercial.

I don't like it. The hunters on there looked like idiots, and the slogan, "it's only good if you eat it." That's probably got all kinds of meanings in itself, aimed negatively at hunting.

I don't eat Snickers anyways. Should I write the company?

I have seen it and agree that it places hunters in a less than desirable light. What do you expect though when it comes to marketing guys at some of these places. They don't care about the truth as long as it sells their product.

That Snicker Company is a yuppie company that have never bein huntin in there life. That was a horrible commercial they are prolly just made because us redneck are better then them. those critters at that company are horrible people that are money hungry and don't know anything about a good day in the field.

I thought it was a funny commercial. All they were saying was that their is no other use for a snickers except to eat it. Their next comm. will probably be a mechanic trying to use it as a wrench or something.
I don't think they mean't it as hunters being dumb.

I have to agree with you RiverBottom. I don't think it was an intentional slam on hunters.

I thought it was funny as well, doesn't bother me at all. I think some of you are a little too sensitive. Your going to write snickers because of that commercial? Cmon, toughin up that skin a little, it was funny.;)

I havent sen the coercial.I will have to start looking for it.I dont watch a lot of tv.

I thought it was stupid but funny too.Didn't bother me. In the sofisticaited world I am just an ole country boy hunter and fisherman. Always have been always will be.
