Nice shootin'. Been tempted to several times myself, but just couldn't bring myself to waste a broadhead on one.

I agree with MQ1 shooter...My brother lost two arrows from shootin coons out of his stand. They are tough creatures and it is hard to get a shot on a moving coon. He lost about $20 worth with just two arrows.(Dumba$$)

What do ya do with that coon after you killed it? Do you eat it or skin it out for the hide? I see them all the time I was just wondering if you did something with it or just target practice?

I just left it lay. I dont feel great about doing that but there are so many of them around and a few families of them can raise holy h*ll with some of the sweet corn and field corn fields of the properties I hunt on. If any of the farmers who's land I hunt on ever found out thatI let a coon walk, I honestly do not think they would want me hunting there anymore. Itsalmost as much a favor to them as helping with chores.

No arrow wasted. I carry four brand new sharp arrows in my quiverbut also carry 1 arrow and broadhead that I have used for target practice all summer. I just hand sharpen the blades on this one and use itfor just such anoccasion as this. No way would I watse a brand new thunderhead on a coon.

I know what you mean.We had a shoot on site order with a farmer a few years back. He made it a condition to hunt there. ANYTIME we saw one we were to take it out. Never did get one with a bow though. That is some good shootin'.
