I was woundering about this to.. and ted nugent (I THINK) but it around the limbs of a crossbow. Could you do this with a regular compound bow?

I took the old grip off my backup Pearson and put it on. Its pretty good, but not real solid. And i like that grip where its right there and doesnt feel all spongy. It takes the recoil out though.

I agree with 9022. I did like effects of the grip, but I really didn't like the feel. I too like a small solid grip that is always in the same place.

Anything made of rubber is a no-no for me as I like the bow to slide into my hand where it belongs without inducing any kind of torque. That and I like as small a grip as possible for the same reason. To that end I sometimes take the grip off the bow and shoot right off the riser. Can my hand get cold from the riser? Sure, but I don't hold my bow much while on stand and keep my hands in my pockets for warmth.

It is supposed to go on the front of the grip to insulate from the cold. Sure feels good here in North Dakota. Doesn't effect the grip, because the fingers barely touch the front while shooting. Feels good while carrying the bow.

I used one on a skinny gripped Hoyt and I liked it.... Really nice on those cold days and you have to hold that bow for awhile.....

BG Fisher.... I used to be like you....but I also hate holding a cold riser in January. I took the grips off my Darton and used that rubber wrap around the grip. I always wear light weigh gloves that are loose. They allow my hand to slip and slide into position. Len and I both use the wrap stuff. It's great.
