You ever regret shooting?

I was just curious about whether or not you guys have regretted taking an animal. I was thinking about this tonight when that eight pointer came in again. I see this deer all the time while hunting...and it's always so tempting. But I always remind myself that I would regret taking him, because I know that if I put in enough time I can harvest a bigger deer....and I dont' want my season to end so soon. Just wondering if you guys ever regretted taking an animal.

I've regretted some of the bad shots I've made. But never a good fatal one. I haven't had the chance to view the same one for awhile like you posted.

Not a single one.

No. I'm well prepared to kill anything I draw back on. If you don't want it, don't shoot it, but I personally wouldn't let a little thing like antler size keep me from taking a good shot at a whitetail.

Never.If I pull a string back,I decided that's the animal I want to kill.I've regretted not shooting a few times,but that's another topic.

I don't think &quot;regret&quot; is the word I would use. I'm not sure exactly what the emotion I feel is. It's not sadness, it's not joy. While I'm thrilled to have success, I feel as though I wish I could breath life back into my kill and do it all over again. Then I just start thinking about them backstraps and it's all good........<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

yea i guess you can call it regret.i shot an eight point buck a couple of years ago that had a 14 1/2&quot; inside spread that turned out to be a 2 1/2 year old deer(serious ground shrinkage)would have loved to seen what he looked like in after another year or two.still he tasted mighty fine

NO. Each and every one is special in some sort of way.

Some things are true whether you believe them or not.

No regret in taking the shot.....thats what I'm out there for ...just regret in taking a living creatures life.I think it's important to remember this and always say a small prayer(for lack of a better word) of thanks after a kill.
not sure who said it but the quote &quot;i do not hunt to kill but kill to have hunted&quot; pretty much sums it all up.

If god didn't want us to eat animals....Why did he make them outa meat?

I shot to fill my doe tag once only to discover a small nub on one side....had to use my only buck tag. I was happy to connect, but I really wanted it to be a doe.
