SPEAKING of BAITING...
Do any of you know of a bait that attracts deer and NOT hogs? I keep trying to use bait to get trail cam pictures, but the hogs always come in and take over. Just wondering if anyone knew a trick to remedy this problem. Thanks. BTW, if you have any other idea on attracting deer to your camera setup, let me know..

To remedy that problem on my lease I try to kill a lot of hogs. Both fun and tasty!

I have that problem with bears eating it all before the deer get to it, then ripping down my camera. Instead of using a food attractant create a mock scrape with a good licking branch and setup your camera on that. I'm going out to hang a couple of cameras by that meathod this week. I'll be using hawgs limited synthetic pre/post formula and forehead gland on the licking branch.

get your bait off the ground ..deer are taller than hawgs...therefore platform your bait..Dont leave no step stool though.....I know of a pig named.. ARNOLD.. and heeze pretty smart..HA HA HA

No idea if this will work, just a thought, but what about a mineral lick? Don't know, hogs may wear that out also. Other than that I would say set the cam on a trail, or go wear those hogs out right at the feeder. Whack several of them at the feeder and it will be awhile untill they come back. Thats the cardinal rule hunting hogs, don't shoot them at the feeder, not if you want them to come back. If you are wanting to hunt them again ambush them on the trails coming in and they will find a different route and you can ambush them several times this way without having to move your feeder. And don't use a bow, you want shock and awe to really get them moving.
