eBows snapping

Hey has any one ever had there bow limbs snap on them while they were drawing it back. Because my friend told me that his brother was shooting his mathews bow that hes only had for 3 years and went to draw back and the top limb snapped and nailed him right in the shoulder. Don't worry though he has a lifetime warranty lol oh and hes alright other than a really big deep bruise on his shoulder.
