RE: Let him hunt or not

I would rethink making him put up his own stand, unless you gave him a certain area far from your's!! Since he doesn't scout or hang stands like he should, I probably wouldn't want him mucking around the place now... wrecking spots this close to the season if you are not already hunting. If your season is going, I definitely wouldn't want him blundering around!! You know darn well with his past habits... it will be last minute scouting and hanging stands. It will be rushed and careless to get it done and get back home to the she devil. Or worse... he could bring the she devil along and now you have twice the damage.

Be a bud and help him. It might just save youless hassles in the long run to my thinking.

RE: Let him hunt or not

I have no land. I either hunt public, or a friend of a friends up north. If he were to say to me, Don't take any grouse this year, or bunnies, or a big buck or whatever I would expect never to be invited back if I did it. Its HIS land and I am just a guest using it. He is generous enough to let me use the house and land even when he is not there. I go out of the way to make it better then when I found it because I want to get invited back.

This being a 15 year friend, everyone deserves a second chance. Lay down clearer rules, make it crystal clear what you expect. Your not a jackass its your hosue your rules they want to play they have to follow them its plain and simple.

If you invite me over to hunt I will do whatever you say.
