Filled my deer tag this morning
 

I'd set up a ground blind in my yard a few weeks ago, and a nice doe came down the trail about 9am. I slipped out the back door and went to my blind - she circled around in the trees but didn't take off. When she came back down the trail again I haddrawn my bow and let the arrowfly when she stopped to look around.She took off after the shot, I recovered the arrow and found it coated with blood. I had about an hour of errands to do, and left to do some shopping at Wally World, filled the truck with gas and went looking for her when I got back. She'd gone about 50 yds and was easy to find, got her hanging in my cold room now. The shot went thru both lungs. Nice deer. My 10 year old daughter helped me dress and skin her, she's home schooled and this was her biology lesson for the day.

Congratulations Rick! Probably a nice opportunity for you to show your daughter the process of taking care of the animal once it is killed.I am sure you were respectful of the animal and it is good for a young person to see that when they are ready for it.
