I just recentlyhad a new rest put on my bow and at the same time switched to new fixed blade broad heads. The rest is a QAD Ultra rest, the BH's are G5 Montec's 100 gr. After getting the new rest installed I knew I would have to re-site my bow. No big deal. So I sited in with my field tips. So then I though I would try my new BH's. I put them on some arrows and gave them a try. First thing I noticed was a whistle. Being told from some I do not have to allign my BH's with my fletchings...I was wondering why this is doing this. So I matched up my BH blades with my fletchings. Whistle gone. But as I shoot I notice my BH's are hitting about two inched to theright from where my field points were hitting. They are holding a good group together though. I called the guy that sets and tunes my bow. Explained the situation to him. He told me that because the BH's are grouping well that we know they are flying straight. He says that this is not uncommen for a broadhead to do this. He explained that I will probably never get the field points and broadheads to group in the same spot on the target. He said I could move my rest around enough to get it so that the field points might hit on theleft side of the circle and the broadheads will probably hit on theright side of the circle....kind of a happy medium. But then he went back and said that beings we know the BH's are flying good and grouping well, just site my bow in for them and it will be fine. Then if you don't want to shoot your BH's into your target you pretty much know where your field tips are going to hit, might not be where you aim but as long as they group good your know your form is good. Being a week away from the season this is what I choose to do. Just site in my BH's and hunt. Hope this helps you. Your situation seems a little more intense because you are 4-5" away and down. You may want to try moving your rest a little to try to get that down as close as possible.....You have to make sure your arrows are true before you do anything with your bow! Good Luck!

They do group well. I can shoot them just as tight or maybe even tighter. I cut a fletching the other day [:@] So maybe I'll just sight them in a go with it.

If your arrows are planing, there is an issue with your setup. It usually means it is something to do with the arrow/broad head setup if your field points were flying straight. If your target arrows are flying crooked, then it is your bow.

One thing to note. If you sight it in for the way it is shooting now, do not take a longer shot than you have sighted in. If you sight in with this problem at 20 yards, do not shoot at an animal past this distance. You arrows will be further off at longer distances. Where you are 4 inches off now, you could be as much as 10 inches off just 10 yards further.

With carbon or aluminum arrows, not all will fly well with each specific broadhead. I typically start with a dozen, tune a broadhead to and arrow and try it. If it doesn't shoot straight, I try the same broadhead on another arrow until I match teh broadhead with an arrow that flies straight. Repeat the process with your next broadhead. Put on each arrow including the ones that did not fly straight with the first broadhead. Sometimes it takes the whole dozen to get 3-4 good matches. Especially with aluminum.

Id have to agree with others, its got to be something in the bow setup. I shoot 100 grain field tips and 100 grain muzzys. the BH flies just like the field point does.Id take her and have it looked at you might have something wrong that might blow up in your face out in the field. Thats my opinion
