Friday night excitemant!
 

So I decided to do an evening hunt Friday after work. I got to my property around 4:15 and got dressed, by the time I got to my stand I was drenched in sweat. Climb in the stand and get comfy, yea, right! Around 5:15- 5:30, 2 small bucks come in and start feeding on acorns, no big deal. At about 5:45 the big boy shows up, all 11 points of him. He comes in from my left and offers me a broadside chip shot at 15yds. Did I take him.......EAB! I don't have my stinkin doe yet! All I could od was sit there and watch. Talk about torture. Thats the 3rd time in 5 years that EAB has kept me from harvesting a Pope and Young buck.....RATS! Well I guess thats hunting.

I forgot to add that I ended up with 6 bucks in front of me that night...

Man good luck finding a doe man, but it looks like you got a good spot after you take your doe. In MO we have antler point restrictions in some counties. It seems like a better idea to me than EAB but hey what can you do? Anyway good luck the rest of the season with the big boys after you get your old girl.;)

Wow! Earn a buck sounds like crap. I am glad we dont have that here in Texas. I hope you get a doe soon and get that big ole boy before some one else does

Isn't that the way it always is? Once you shoot your doe then you will be lucky to see one buck after several days of hunting.

Somebody tells them...I am sure of it.;)

what's with the EAB??i've never even heard of that before, and i'm from Pa. r u from pa and hunting somewhere else or what?our season doesn't even start till 10-2. i know it isn't a reg or anything. maybe just a personal goal, but i sure wouldn't let it stop me from taking a monster buck.
