|
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
Cool wolves. Nice bears also.
|
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
I trust you when you say they're wolves, but, dang, they look a lot like big yotes!
|
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
Yeah just one is real big, but just look at their feet, huge compared to their body while coyotes have daintier feet. These left tracks almost the size of your entire palm. And trust me, when your sitting in your bowstand and you hear that long deep howl rather than the yip yip, ya' know they are wolves.

RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
Very nice. I thought they were wolves before I read it. Then I wondered if they were yotes but the head looks a little more wolfish, legs a little thicker, and bigger feet. Nice bear.

RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!

RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
oh yeah, Wolves without a doubt. When you put a Northern MN/WI wolf next to a Northern MN/WI coyote, it is like Clydsdales next to Shetland ponies.
NO mistaking the two. Nice bear too! |
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!

|
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
Where exactly do you live?
That is a first. I have never seen wolves on game cam film. Coyotes, yes, but even then only on limited occasions. |
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
These pics were taken about an hour south of International Falls, MN. No there is not a wolf season in MN, but I have heard talk of the Feds doing with MN as they have in some western states, and that is allow the state to manage the wolves on their own. I wouldnt be suprised if in the next few years MN starts giving out a very limited number of tags. I am pretty sure that MN has the largest wolf population in the lower 48.

RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
Stone, to be exact I was about 10 miles NE of Winnibigoshish. I live in SE Minnesota but was trying my hand at bear hunting for the first time this year through a guy that baits up thata way.

We have those pesky things down here in Central MN. I do alot of deer hunting up in the Bemidji area and they are every where.
|
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
I think that first one is a bobcat, then a lynx, then a big black panther WOW!
|
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
That pumps me up! To get great photos of both bears and wolves. . . nice to see them coming back!
|
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
Cool pics!!!!
I had a hard enough time getting my wife to walk in and out of her stand in the dark with coyotes around. If we had bear and wolves down here she wouldn't hunt unless I was right beside her!!! Funny story!!!:) Her first year hunting she shot at and missed a coyote at 15 yards. I had to drive the four Wheeler right up to her stand because she was NOT getting out of that tree!!!!!:D |
RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
I think that the picture where the bear is sitting on the rock or log what ever it is, is funny. I dont know why i just think they look funny when they sit down.:D

RE: Look who else visited my bear bait!!
Those are very cool pics. It would certainly take a little getting use to to go walking into the woods in pitch black darkness with nothing but a bow with those critters roaming around.
