On that second shot why wouldn't you have a stand at the bottom of the treeline between the two bean fields? Looks like a natural funnel to me.

RE: Lets see those Ariels!

These ariels are back from 98' so things have changed some. Those three slim treelines that connect other sections arent there anymore, just a big field. This year it happens to be corn and beans. My stand is positioned in a funnel as it is, being about 25-30yds to each corner of corn & CRP. There is some heavy trails that run past my stand and up to the two bean fields. A bunch of draws and creek beds run through there. I have a feeling most of the feeding is going to be done in the Corn, so I may have to reposition or get Mr. Ol'Man out.

The closest stand is near some apple trees. Fields are corn and alfalfa.

Right on fieldmouse. Golf course communities hold tons of deer and I've seen a few monsters around the course I work. They won't let me hunt though.:(

Who won't let you hunt work? Forget them hunt on private property. Start chatting with the home owners who you see regularly out on the golf course. Target the person with the funnel running through their yard. Ensure them that you will hunt discretely and not even the anti hunter next door will know your there. Then live up to your commitment. It's easy enough to do.

Good luck.

My idea for you zac is to plant some more crops. Force them to travel the way you want them.

Fieldmouse has my RI opening day covered. Just checked out this property near a golf course, its loaded with sign. The owner's one request is that if I hunt near his place, please dont shoot the dog. The deer gotta go!

here is an area I will be hunting the second weekend of November. What do you guys think? This place is closed to gun hunting, and only one other guy hunts it....and he doesnt hunt much. It is pretty much a great spot.
