Acorns like crazy!!
 

I live in west michigan and here, ther r just tons of acorns all over the place...my grandpa said that its the worst its been in a long long time..but i was wonderin if anyone else noticed this any wher else..u know what they say bout them..big acorns..hard winter

Same in my neck of the woods this year as well. I just took the dog up to the local lake and the area around it is just loaded with acorns. It was hard not to walk on them.

In the area of PA that I hunt the acorns are falling like crazy. This is the first year in quite some time that it has been this way. We will see how that will help my hunting chances.

We have a few patches of acorn trees. Hopefully I will be able to put a blind right on the edge and stick a few.

Not many here in Wi. Mainly on the white oaks, red oaks didnt grow them this year for some odd reason.

Loads in Ohio..like Pa we've had some sparse acorn crops the last couple years. Happy to see them falling again!

I don't know about acorns, but that doe I shot last night sure had allot of fat on her for it being so warm out. We might get nailed this winter!!!!!!

My area in WI is loaded with both red and white. Can't walk quitely to my stand because of the crunch crunch. This may make hunting harder as trees all over the place are dropping buckets of accorns. That means the deer don't have to travel to a certain tree or group of trees that are dropping them, they can find what they want all over the place.It may make field hunting harder as well.

I was up at our place in northern Wi this weekend ad the White oaks are dropping like nuts! (haha) I can't believe what a crop they had. They are drawing in the bears like crazy. Between the 4 guys at our cabin, we seen 3 bears this weekend. Too bad the trees started dropping so early, they will be coming to an end very soon.

My yard is covered with them , as is my woods .
There is no corelation between mast crops and future weather .

Where I hunt there are tons of red oak acorns but the white oaks are small and not nearly as many.

I have been seeing a lont here in Southern Illinos also.More the usual on the ground already also.

i live in central michigan and this is the best year for acorns(especially the white oaks) that i have seen in 6 - 8 years!
