My area in WI is loaded with both red and white. Can't walk quitely to my stand because of the crunch crunch. This may make hunting harder as trees all over the place are dropping buckets of accorns. That means the deer don't have to travel to a certain tree or group of trees that are dropping them, they can find what they want all over the place.It may make field hunting harder as well.

I was up at our place in northern Wi this weekend ad the White oaks are dropping like nuts! (haha) I can't believe what a crop they had. They are drawing in the bears like crazy. Between the 4 guys at our cabin, we seen 3 bears this weekend. Too bad the trees started dropping so early, they will be coming to an end very soon.

Where I hunt there are tons of red oak acorns but the white oaks are small and not nearly as many.

I have been seeing a lont here in Southern Illinos also.More the usual on the ground already also.

i live in central michigan and this is the best year for acorns(especially the white oaks) that i have seen in 6 - 8 years!
