RE: Who's got a API climbing stand?????
I just bought an API climbing stand from Wally World. I put the top section down on the ground and then put the bottom section on top of it. I thread the seat back cushion through the bottom section and strap the to sections together (only to keep the strap from flopping, not to hold the sections together). I took the small bungie cord they supplied to tie to the sections together during climbing and put that as a back strap to hold my boots in the foot loops. I have a military slide type of strap that I use to connect the two sections together for climbing. I leave it attached to the bottom section and wrap that strap all the way around the two sections and tighten it for transport. I also have another rachet strap that I use to secure the top section to the tree once I am at height and I wrap that one around the edges of the two sections. I can post a picture if anyone needs to see the set-up.
