Arrow change now?
Since I got my new bow a couple of weeks I have been thinking about getting some new arrows. Axis STs are what I have in mind. I currently shoot Carbon Excels. My groups with my new bow and old arrows are nice and tight. I want to put Blazers on the new arrows. With the opener just 2 weeks from today is it too late to make the switch? I feel very confident in my ability to make a clean shot. Should I buy them and then take whatever I'm shooting best to the field?

RE: Arrow change now?
i would , if that is what you want, you have 2 weeks to see what works best with your bow, and if you don't yo've done your homework withthe arrows you have, so i wouldnt worry too much, if you have time go for it, if not , relax.....:)

Worst case is you can always go back to the Carbon Excels if you're not comfortable with the Axis for some reason.

RE: Arrow change now?
I say if its not broke don't fix it. If you feel good about your set up the way it is thats the way its suppose to be. There is plenty of time in the off season to bo playing with unbroke stuff. Your season is too close how would you feel if you messed it all up and coulden't fix it in time ,or get it back the way it is.But hay thats just me Mike

if your feeling confident about the arrows your shooting now dont change..but if your a little iffy about it get your other arrows that your interested in and see which ones you shoot better..

RE: Arrow change now?
Personally I would not change at this point. I currently shoot the Excels and have shot/do own the Axis. In my experience you are not going to really gain anything by making the switch. Penetration difference between the two shafts is not significant in my opinion and, surprisingly, the Excels have actually been holding up better than the Axis did.

RE: Arrow change now?
I did get the Axis STs in 340. I got them fletched with Blazers and have been shooting them quite a bit and I am amazed at how well they shoot. I practice a lot and am very confident in my ability to make a good shot. I've made up my mind, I'm taking the Axis STs into the woods. Shot 32 arrows this AM, every one was in the bull so its a done deal as far as my choice goes. I was reluctant to try making a change this late but my worries werw unfounded.
