Nathan,

First of all , I wonder whether your teacher is simply bringing up the topic for discussion or whether she happens to be an animal rights zealot, has learned that you support hunting, and is trying to impose her bunny hugger beliefs upon you and your fellow students and thus needs some serious education herself.

About the only thing hunting and murder might share in common is perhaps death.

Ask your teacher when was the last time a murderer used what he or she killed for beneficial purposes. ( If she brings up trophy hunting and claims the animal is wasted, let her know about programs like hunters helping the hungry )

Ask your teacher how much murderers contribute towards wildlife conservation.

Find out if she is a vegan.

My teacher brought it up when when we were reading a story about a man hunting humans. The man in the story hunted every big game animal in the world and got bored with it so he bought an island and caused ships to wreck so the people would swim to the island. He then hunted the peoplefrom the ship. She said that it could be the same thing because he enjoyed hunting them. She said if he enjoyedfinding them and killingthem wouldnt that still be hunting?

Hunting and Murder?hmmmmmm letme think here. I hate to answer a question with another question(s) but oh well.........

Are beef/chicken/pig Farmers murders?
If you kill a fly in your window seal.........are you a murderer?
Is it Ok to kill an animal if regulated by the FDA?

Animals do not have souls! Animals are a gift to us to use, consume, and yes kill.

Think of all of the people who have been murdered or of the families that have had a loved one murdered. Ask them if it is the same thing.

Under this teachers definition..............we are all murders............give me a break!!!!!

I'm leaving to go puke![:'(]

The teacher need only look up the definition of murder in the dictionary to discover that hunters don't murder animals. By definition murder is the the taking of a HUMAN life by a HUMAN. To say that a human killing an animal is murder is simply incorrect.

I remember reading that story. If she doesn't have a problem with hunting she's probably only trying to get her students to think and try to give reasoned arguements to support their position rather than just parroting what they've heard or simply saying "just because it is different".

RE: Help Me Please

There is no reasoning with such a person,
answer her question as briefly and simply as possible,
killing an ANIMAL for food is not murder,
and ask how this pertains to an english class
