huge typical vs huge non-typical

which would you guys rather shoot?? a 200'' typical or a 250'' non-typical with your bow? To me theres nothing more beautiful than a huge clean typical. I would definately choose a huge typical. What about you guys??

Non-typical because they are much less likely to be around in my area. This one non-typ that I got a pic of this year was the first one in four years of game cam usage.

Probably whichever one walked under my stand first. But if I had a choice, it would a symmetrical non-typical. A monster symmetrical typical frame with double droptines. Ohhhh boy.

Typical for me, even if it was asomewhat smaller, relatively, than the non typical. I really don't like non typical racks that much, no matter how big or small.

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

Double drops for me too, hanging off an otherwise large & typical frame.

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

Definetly a symetrical typical rack.

Non typical racks can get really ugly IMO. Such as the Beatty buck. It's an enoumous set of bone on that head but man is it ugly.

Personally nothing looks better then a huge typical.I think some of these record non typical bucks look lik ecrap.

mass, split brows and double drops. I would die a happy man

KickerPoint79 09-11-2005 03:11 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

Big double drop tine would do just fine........

yeah definately. the really long ones but both are still the same length.

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

I'd like a non-typical, but I'd want it to be on a typical frame and just have lots and lots of mass and stickers.

JeramyK 09-11-2005 04:10 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

I'd take the non-typical. ;)

This is always a cool side by side comparison pic!

I'd take the huge typical, as well.

I'll go with the non-typical

watchamakalit 09-11-2005 08:43 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

Stickers and kickers all the way. Nothing says big and mean like a snarled up mess o' bone.

glew22 09-11-2005 08:54 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

well theres not many animals that compare to a 200 typical your talkign close to the world record so id have to go with that....however if the not-typ was more like 300+ then well id take both

Which ever one gets in the way of the arrow first, or presents himself first. Either one is catching it.

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

definitely a tall tined thick symetrical typical for me

njbuck22 09-12-2005 08:49 AM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

I would be happy to take either, but if i had to choose just one, i would go with a high typical rack with double drop tines.

i'd like to get a non typical but only because i've never got one before...but i'd be happy with whatever God wants to bless me with.

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

If they where both standing in front of me at the same time. I would definitely take the gnarly looking non typical. I think they look awesome!!!!!!

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

I like typical racks. Maybe a split brow, ora drop at best.

Deer902 09-13-2005 10:42 AM

The messed up the better. Non-typical for me.

Xtec Shooter 09-13-2005 11:41 AM

NON-TYPICAL without doubt. The more kickers, stickers, drops he's got...the better I like em!

lou-lou 09-13-2005 12:00 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

200 in typical for me, Nothing like a massive 10 pointer with 15 in tines and serious wood.

Greg / MO 09-13-2005 12:23 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

Since I've already been blessed with a split-brow 5x5 that went over 160", I'd say the non-typical would get me salivating more at this point.

stevenrayspeck 09-13-2005 12:23 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

I would shoot which ever one came in first. Both would make me happy.

Typical all the way for me.

Dampland 09-13-2005 04:25 PM

RE: huge typical vs huge non-typical

My dream is to some day harvest a buck with at least one drop-tine. I also love the look of the split brow0tine bucks.

So I say NON-typical.
