I got a new bow today.
 

I finally broke down and got one. I spent the last year or more looking for one.
I finally went with a Mathews Solo-Cam ultra light.
But PLEASE don't tell the wife!:D:D

I tried the mathews when I was looking last time.Wasnt the bow for me.I tried just about every model and every make before finding a bow that I just love to shoot hands down.Hoyt is coming out stong with there bows and they are a blast to shoot and are a very forgiving bow.Strong durable and tough.And unlike Mathews and some others a very resonable price for there products.

It's hard for many to justify the outgoing funds needed to purchase a Mathews bow. After all, for most (unless you're Ted Kaczynski) we hunt for a hobby, not for our loved one's to survive.

For me though, other than Mathews, I would probably only shoot a Hoyt.

well i also just got a new bow today..fred bear..its really nice and hopefully itll do me some good in the field..but yes ive heard a lot of good things about matthews

Once you have a Mathews you will never own another bow. They may cost a little more up front but just look at how much they sell for on eBay when you decide you want to get another.

I see this a lot. I am in the market for a new bow and everyone keeps telling me how great Mathews are despite the overhead...then it is always followed up with a resale value. I want a bow that I will shoot for years, not a season. I want time tested gear...not something I can get a good $ for in a year.
