first bow kill ever!!!!!!
 

tonight i killed my first deer with a bow. i was sitting in my ground blind next to a peanut field. i was watching 8 deer feed around, but all of them were to far to shoot. i heard something coming out to the field. it was 2 does. the first one came out and stoped about 25yards broad sided. it looked right at me i was sure she would see me and run but i guess she didn't. i started to draw back my bow when she turned her head. i never new drawing your bow could be so hard. i finely got it to full draw and got the deer in my sight. i shot and heard the thud sound as it hit the deer. i watched her run across the field out of view. i called my friends that i was hunting with on the two way radio and told them i had shot a deer. they came and we tracked the deer and found her about 150yards away. she was about 130lbs. my best hunting trip ever.

Way to go tbone and congrats.You did something that you will play back in your mind for a while and should be very proud.Peanut fields you must hunt Georgia or Florida right?

Good for you - Hope its the first of many for you. Take the time now, to write down your hunt, and the feelings you felt. Years from now, while you'll recall the hunt with reverence, you'll be glad to have a written record in detail of that first bow kill - I wish I'd done that.

Nice job tbone. Where ya at that your hunting a peanut field? Georgia? Here in Missouri the season starts Oct 1. I'll get out next weekend and can't wait. Hey congrats on the first of hopefully many.
