rubber hunting boots question
 

I have a scent lok bag I keep my hunting clothing stored in until I'm ready to use them. My question is, where do you guys store your rubber hunting boots or regular hunting boots for that matter? Do you buy another scentlok bag to store them in or use the same one as your clothes or??? Thanks for any replys.

I keep mine in a rubbermaid container until I'm ready to put them on.

This is one of my ooops areas.[:@] I usually store my hunting boots in the front closet. I don't use rubber boots because my feet would sweat toooo much. I do spray them with scent elim spray before going out. I probably need to set them outside, spray them, and put them in a bag. Thanks for the idea....

18-gallon rubbermaid container holds my rubber boots and cold weather Thinsulated Rocky's.

I also put a container of baking soda in the container and sprinkle some in the boots before wearing.

I have knee high rubber boots for bow hunting. I just leave them on the counter in the basement. I do the baking soda thing an spray the heck out of them with scent killer before I hit the woods. Doesn't hurt to step in all the deer poo you see either;)

I haven't had a deer stop to smell where I walked for a couple of years. In fact the P&Y I shot last year walked right in my foot steps for over 100yds, and had no clue I was there!

I do the exact same as Orion. A big tote and a bunch of baking soda. I'm a huge fan of baking soda and what it does to eliminate or mask scent that I sprinkle some in by bow case, in my hunting tub, in my rubber boots before I put them on, a little in my hat before I put that on and whatever else I think should need some.

I have a couple of giant ziplock bags from hunters specialties. I throw earth scent wafers and a bunch of leaves in the bag as well as my boots. I put my clothes in another bag the same way. I think the bags cost me $10.

I installed a cargo carrier on the back hitch of my pickup this year with a HUGE RubberMaid cargo box. I put my boots and my clothes in plastic zip bags and then lock them in the cargo box. That way, my gear is safe, always with me and the plastic eliminates any odors from the truck exhaust.

Not that it is any of my business:eek:but why go through all the trouble of installing a cargo carrier on the back of your PICKUP truck.Why not just throw the Rubbermaid cargo box in the back of the box and have absolutely no concern of the exhaust;)

Can you say "THIEVES!!!!!" I'm in Pennsylvania about 25 NW of Philadelphia hunting on public land only. The LOCKABLE box is an absolute necessity.

Absolutely! And to prove it, I would like to invite you to an Eagles game. You just have to promise to wear a Dallas Cowboys jersey and sit close to a balcony railing.:D

I just use a large plastic bag (unsented )and scoop some of the leaves and stuff from the ground where I'm hunting and put everything in there. Just remember Pine will spook a deer where there is no pine so just be careful about that I found that out the hard way and it took me quite a while to figure it out.Good luck with it Mike

I GIVE EM TO MY MAID TO WASH THEM WITH WATHER ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE EVERYTIME I USE THEM AND THEN STORE THEM WITH ALL MY CAMO CLOTHING

I keep my boots outside turned upside down and hanging until I'm ready to use them.
