You all are killing me. I am not going to say one way or the other what I think the animal is, because I know what it is. But it was sure fun to see what all the answers were.

Well first of all the question "What is this animal?" was really too easy....
In Missouri they'd reply "That thar is a critter of the feline variety."
In Minnesota they'd say "Well, dontcha know that there would be a really big kitty cat."
Anywhere near an asian diner that would be called the lunch special.
Okay, now that I have insulted my neighbors, I'd have to say that is a picture of a mountain lion. The build and face coloring are more puma than bobcat.
BTW, My best friend is from Minnesota, my brother is from Missouri, and my wife is from asia. That's where the previous answers came from.

It is a Lynx. I have seen them in Maine, Massachusetts and CT. The ears are a dead give away. The animal is too small to be a lion or cougar. And, it is too small and thin to be a bobcat. Just me two cents... I hope that helps.

that first pic look like a cougar or mt lion and not a bobcat to me.the other are bobcat but that first pic is something different i believe.nice pic though
