RE: What is this animal? Game cam pic

In all seriousness, my family owns a camp in Tioga Co.a bitwest of Wellsboro. Between my father and his best friend they spend 120-140 days in the woods per year. This past year they were seeing some pretty large cat tracks that they were hesitant to categorize until a nearby farmer killed1 of 2Mt. Lion asthey attacked his chicken coupe, for the last time, I might add. He called the wardens, he had a collar, they denied it was there. He called again, they denied it again. The long and the short ofthis storyis the collar got buried with the cat. I am not sure how far this is from this "cam", but our camp is not far from the PA state grand canyon.

All seriousness aside, I think its Lockness.
My opinion,,,, its definately a cat, depth perception from a picture is bad, need more pics.

Boy do I got buck fever, lets focus on them, cat probably tastes gamey anyway, plus I can get that at the local Mark Pi's!!!!!!!

Good, safe hunting this season boys.

What is everybody talking about? And why is there a picture of a cheetah in the first post of this thread?

My opinion is that it is a bobcat. Tails on cougars are much longer and perspective wouldn't account for a tail looking that short. That's just the view of one guy with a degree in Biology who's seen both.

I would say from the shape of the ears, it's a cougar. It looks too long to be a bobcat.

Yep, after seeing some of the responses on here from those actually in the hunting community, I don't think I'll believe another one.

21 pages and we are still trying to figure this out. I agree with it being a bobcat.
