10 pt. trail cam pic.

Just thought I would send this to get everyone a little more excited about the season. Thisbuck isdirectly below one of my already placed stands. I saw him live, a week before this, and liked his height. I've been seeing at least ten other bucks in this same area, but this is the largest-so far. I've scored it out at 151" gross. The unusual light is a small twig that got in front of the flash.

That is a nice looking deer. I would defenitly be putting the pin on his vitals. Every picture I see on here makes me more and more ready for the season to open.

I might put him at 140 but definatey not at 150.he just doesnt have the mass to carry him he has good length but not enough of that either.

A nice buck for sure, but i would have to agree he just doesn't have the antler to be over the 120-125in range.

That is a beautiful buck. Still looks a bit young to me though. He might get even bigger!

I think that was actually a lightning bolt instead of a limb. You might want to check for any ashes in the vicinity!:D

RE: 10 pt. trail cam pic.

I based his score by measuring his ear and G2 and putting it into a ratio. I then measured my mounts ear and G2 and put that into a ratio as well. By calculating the two ratios, an 11 inch G2 was figured. I guessed at the other tine lengths based on this G2 and my mount. The tough part was figuring his mass. Again, I based his mass on my mount which has average to slightly above average mass. The velvet always makes it tough to measure mass. 17" spread. Figured the rest using a P&Y scoring sheet. Still looking for a bigger one though.
