Backyard Bucks 05 Edition

Some of you may remember my posts last season from the bucks appearing in my backyard. Here is the start of the 05 series.

The big buck aboveis a non typical. The left side is pretty odd. Here are some pictures of him from March.

Those are great. Looks like you have one or two really nice ones there.

That buck in the 2nd picture on the left really caught my eye. He looks like one big buck for PA! Thanks for sharing the pics. :)

Well, I guess you don't have to go far to hunt! What's up with the three legged deer? His bases appear very heavy, yet no growth.

Nice, hopefully I'll find some big ones like that on the 1st.

Manuman,

Sorry, I should have clarified this. The pics of the 3 legged are from March. This is the same buck as the top pictures. The big buck in the first photos has a great 4 pt rack on the right, but the left is a brow tine and then a fork that goes out and up. the second photo is probably the best shot of that.

Now here is the bad part. My neighbor and hunting partner both believe this isthe same buck from last year. Obviously, he was injured, either by car or gun/arrow. I'm hoping he is just an offspring of this 10pointer but not holding my breath...

The above pictures were also taken out of my office window. Midday around November 5, 04. He was dogging a doe all thru my backyard and the field behind my house. I am fortunate enough to work out of my house. I was on the phone at the time and video taping this. Not until after he left and I really looked at the video did I realize how spectacular he was (for a PA buck.)

At least last year they didn't start appearing like this until October. Now I don't know how I will get any work done in the next few months.

JeramyK, the first 2 pictures show the same 2 bucks. In the first, the bigger buck is walking in from the right and you really can't see the odd antlers. in the second picture, you get a better look at him.

Definitely a good PA buck.

Great bucks Pops. I remember your post from last year. You got a nice place to see all those quality bucks right behind your house. Good luck.

I think that it's great to be able to look out your office window and catch a glimpse of these bucks. But I can only imagine how much it impacts the productivity. :D

If I were you I'd have my bow in my hands at all times while at home. That is unbeleivable to have in your backyard. Very cool

I live in MD but I would commute to PA for bucks like that.

I am very fortunate to be in the house 4 days a week and to be able to see this. At least last year it didn't start until October seeing the deer like this. I'm not sure how I will get anything done.

All the equipment is laid out and the pants and jacket are just step away in a scent free container. I can be out the door in less than 5 minutes.

My boss is understanding. He knows what time of year it is and when I'm not around, figures out pretty quickly where I am at.
