RE: Red Fox Fight
That 3rd pic is really cool. I wonder why they'd be fighting? Over food? Maybe they were just playing or being territorial?
|
RE: Red Fox Fight
I liked the 3rd picture also. The pics turned out very nice. What camera setup you using?
|
RE: Red Fox Fight

RE: Red Fox Fight
In the second pic there was a coon laying on the ground behind them and you don't see it in the others, where the pics in order? I noticed in the first pic there were a set of green eyes about five feet off the ground, but I didn't notice a tree,, very cool pics thanks for the share, I hope I get some like that with my cam..

RE: Red Fox Fight

RE: Red Fox Fight
Glad everyone liked the pics.I feel that I owe all of you some after all the pics that everyone else hasshared, and I enjoy looking at the pics. These are my first setthat I haveposted because I never new how to.I got these pics and my wife showed me how to post them.
I believe the fox were fighting over a red apple.I got a sour apple tree in my yard and I got a bucket of those and one red apple that was in the house that I needed to get rid of so I threw it in with them.I did not post the first pic but it is one of the foxes standing over the red apple like he's fixing to eat it.The next pictures are the ones I posted with the other fox jumping into the picture. The red apple was the only apple that was touched(gone),and i'm thinking since their was only one they faught over it.I guess nothing in my woods liked the sour apples. The camera I used was the Moultrie camera from Wal-Mart for about $100.Those were my first set with it and i'm pretty impressed with it.It takes a little getting used to because it's like it zooms in all the pictures so you have to scoot the camera back farther away than you want the picture to be taken from.If you guys think it's worthy to be entered in a contest then I will enter it.Just let me know how to go about it. I was told to not kill any of the red fox because theirs not many in existence anymore. Not sure how true this is but I did'nt want to finish them off.The way I understood it was that the coyotes breed with them and mostly all you see anymore is fox/coyote mix.Anybody know if this has any truth to it?I live in North Alabama if that helps any. Again thanks for all the replies. JE |

RE: Red Fox Fight
Coyotes either run or eat the fox out of the gene pool. We used to have a good number of fox where I live, now if you see one every few years you are lucky. I wish I could find one for my fullbody mount......
Great pics by the way! |
