Which carbon arrows
I switched from aluminum to carbon about a month ago. From the 12 arrows I got I have 5 left. 2 have fletch damage and the rest have cracked around the insert or nock. But thats what I get for getting the cheapest ones out there.(24.99 for 6) What carbons can I get for $60.00 or under (a dozen)that are good quality and hopefully won't break. I prefer black finish cause it makes less noise in my WB.Thanks for any help.

RE: Which carbon arrows
I would check ebay and do a search for carbon arrows. I saw a few on there that were going cheap. As far as my preference I bought 6 Easton Axis 340s for around $41. So far these are the best arrows I have ever shot!! Speed, durabillty, and accuracy. Half a dozen is all I need, but I think a dozen of them go for around $75.

RE: Which carbon arrows
I prefer the Easton Excels which typically run around $60 a dozen. They are one of the better less expensive ICS style carbons on the market in my opinion.

RE: Which carbon arrows
try getting the carbon fury or carbon supreme from bass pro...been using them for 3 yrs now and have no complaints at all....they should be in your price range...if not close.

RE: Which carbon arrows
I got Cabela's hunters (black) they work well.. lasted 2 years now.$25 for 6..

RE: Which carbon arrows
I have to go with fl.huntress. I have had good luck with the carbon fury from Bass Pro. I just ordered another doz. They are on sal right now for less than $35 a dozen. Shipped to your door for about 42 bucks.
look here http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=47931&hvarDept=400&a mp;hvarEvent=&hvarClassCode=13&hvarSubCode =6&hvarTarget=browse |
RE: Which carbon arrows
Personally I use Gold Tip xt's they are a great arrow and they average about 54 for a dozen. They are better then any other arrow I have boiught and I have some that I use for practice that are 2 years old abd they still fly as straight as the day I brought them home.

RE: Which carbon arrows
Since i switched from aluminum all i have used are Gold Tips. I love them, and they can be had for under 60 bucks if you look around. I havent tried any other carbons so i cant give an opinion on other types. Give the Gold Tips a try im sure you will like them.

RE: Which carbon arrows
I have to ask you where you got the Gold Tip XT's for that price. I cant find them for under $70.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
I use GoldTip HunterXT. Round $35 for 1/2 dozen. Shoot straighter and more solid compared to the Eastons Ive shot.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
I've been using blackhawks. They fly great and are pretty durable, EXCEPT when I shoot groups instead of spots and I smack one from behind. They are reasonably priced, about $45/dozen.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
Beman ICS Hunter 400 gr. here.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
GOLD TIP!!
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
Spend 10 or 15 more bucks and get yourself some Goldtips
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
I've shot a lot of the arrows that were listed. Personally I shoot the Easton Axis and love them. I shot the Carbon Excels and liked those but had some durability issues. I would look at the Axis, Gold tips or Beman ICS. Stay away from the Redhead carbons at Basspro.

RE: Which carbon arrows
Ive been using Gold Tip Exp. Hunter 5575 and they hold up against everything none of them have broken or anything and they have hit a variety of things such as trees, poles and they didnt break.

RE: Which carbon arrows
you cant go wrong with carbon express but if i had to pick anything else i would say gold tipor vapor blackhawks
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
[/align]EASTON AXIS 340'S ARE EXCELLENT THE BEST ARROW EVER SHOOT :)ACCURATE, FAST AND DURABLE |
RE: Which carbon arrows
I use to spend 120 a dozen on ACC. The past two years I've shot Cabela's Hunters and they are great . About 50 a dozen.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
Been shooting goldtips for several seasons now. Great durability and pretty good consistency through out the dozen.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
Last time I bought Gold Tips XT 5575 on Ebay for $42/ dozen bare shafts. They are the only carbon arrows I've ever shot and I have no reason to switch.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
i don't want to venture off too far with this...but i was wondering what y'all think of the Easton Epic2 400's...are they a good arrow for an experienced archer or are theyjust a good starter arrow...my bow is set at 50 pounds and the pro shop refered a 125 field tip and fixed head...would y'all recomend the same combination...
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
Ill give a vote for easton excels. I really like gold tips now that i shoot them, but id still pick up a dozen eastons if situation arose.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
I have to say Carbon Express Terminators. They shoot like a dream in my bow, and thats all any of my buddies shoot that do shoot carbons, and we all love 'em.
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
I just bought my first bow and just got my setup complete - bought Carbon express CX's - so far I am extremely impressed with them
|
RE: Which carbon arrows
My vote is for Easton Axis 340's - fast, extremely strong, and nasty penetration.
