Dropping poundage
If I drop the poundage on my bow I know I will have to move my sight but would I have to paper tune it again? I think I have it set up at 65 pounds and would like to drop it to 60. Also I have a 04 Hoyt Vipertec is it possible for me to drop the poundage myself or do I have to take it to the pro shop to put in the bow press.

RE: Dropping poundage
I have always adjusted mine myself. You just have to make sure you adjust them both the same amount.maybe one full turn each and check the poundage to see what you have.Try marking them both and turning them both the same amount this should keep it pretty well in sync.As for paper tuning again.I would run a copuple arrows through paper just to be on the safe side. The string wont change from side to side. But it may move just a tad up or down depending on how much you let off of the poundage. So yes I would deffinately paper tune it again just to make sure.

RE: Dropping poundage
You can dropthe poundage by yourself. All you need is a hexhead.Move it 1/2 turn at the time, alternating limbs, keeping both limbs with an equal amount of turns. It's easy.I tested my bow out yesterday, and I dropped all the way from 70 to 63lb,and it hit the same spot as the highest poundage did from 10-30 yds.Penetration, and speed was noticeably different though. You may have to adjust your site, but I don't think it will be much.
