Default Acorns are all over, beans are turning.

The acorns are dropping heavly in my area all ready. The bean fields are also drying up and turning yellow/brown rather quickly.

Between the corn and now the acornsdeer sightings have dropped a ton. It's the tell tale sign bow season is just around the corner!

What's going on in your area?

A bunch of green acorns on the ground here. The storms knocked alot of them off the trees. Beans looks good. Still green and starting to go yellow.

Lots of acorns on the ground in my neck of the woods as well. Actually, they have been for the last two weeks or so. I wonder if the dry weather has something to do with them dropping so early.

The acorns are dropping early in NY and PA as well, they aren't very mature though.............

Going scouting in PA this weekend to hang my last 4 stands, and putting in a last minute food plot. Hoping to get some video of the 2 decent bucks running around down there.

Beans are also turning down here in the south. Green acorns on the groundeverywhere due to Katrina. I hunt 150 miles west of where the eye passed and we still had wind gusts of up to 50 mph!

green acorns have been drooping for a couple weeks.
not to sure about the beans anywhere, the two fields that were planted last year were let go to weeds on the land i hunt.
alfalfa looks great, and the corn is real good. i walked into the corn field a few days ago and found the tops ofcobs eaten along the wood line.

i have a few plans ready to go into effect two weeks from tomorrow.

From what I can tell, we are having a huge acorn crop this year!! They are everywhere and every clump you see on a limb has 1,000 of them there. The crops are doing really well this year too. I can't wait for the season to get rolling.

Acorns are fair this year.We had a humongous crop last year,so some decline was expected.I went to my favorite spots today, and only three of them had live oaks dropping, when usually they are all dropping by now.It also looks like some of them are running late.
