Dig,
I bought one back in 2000 when they came out. I tried to shoot that bow and thought I was doing pretty good. Then I missed a doe. Sold it and went with a longer bow. The shorter bow is harder to shoot. You have to have GREAT form and consistency. My form and consistency is pretty good but that bow was too touchy. Good luck!!
A bad day hunting is better than a good day at work!

I still love my 2000 Havoc XT2000 Redline...probably more so still than my Havoctec.
Whackmaster is correct. There was more than one version of the Havoc. In 2000 the Havoc was available with XT2000 limbs, PFX limbs and Intruder limbs. It was also available with two different cam styles.....the dual Command Cams and the single Redline cam.
I have probably owned just about every version of the Havoc...besides this year's Excel cam product.....and I can tell you that there is a drastic difference between the different combinations.
For starters, the Havoc Intruder with Command cams was alot noisier than the single cam Havoc with XT2000 limbs. I also had a much harder time shooting it accurately. I don't quite know why.
I somewhat disagree with heydeerman. Shorter axle to axle length bow do require the archer to pay more attention to canting the bow. But a bubble level on the bow sight generally remedies this problem.
I definitely would not say that the 33-35 inch axle to axle length bows require "GREAT" form when compared to a 38-39 incher.
Brace height plays a much larger role in terms of forgiveness.

I like all the hoyt bows. But i'd have 2 say sell it and go w/ the vortec. Every one is trying to make these shorter bows too light and too fast n they add to that more hand torque and stuff. I just bout a mt sport n i love it. I have also shot the vortec and all the other hoyt bows but i had limited money so i went w/ the mt sport. but if i had the money i'd buy the vortec hands down.
