Days a Year You Hunt?
 

How many days a year do you hunt? This year, I will have a total of 8 days of hunting.....2 for the MI youth hunt, 4 for the Michigan Firearm, and 2 for the Indiana Muzzleloader...:D

UPHunter, we are bowhunters - might as well ask us how many days we won't be hunting.
Also, you didn't specify - are you talking about deer only?

Every day at least 8 hours everyday,sometimes weather permitting dawn to dusk for 3 months

I hunt the entire season but because of work constraints (and not being allowed to hunt Sundays in PA) I checked off 16+ days. ;)

my plan is to do the entire season oruntil ibagthe limit.

deer seasonis 106 days, and i bet i will do at least 100 of them.
thats not including small game and waterfowl.
goose is open on saturday, that will be on the plan as well.

I will hunt at least 8 hours a day every day from October 15th till the middle of December,,(for deer) and after Dec I will hunt every day till the end of March (for yote's) Man I love my job!!

In south Florida our open archery season is from 9/3/05 to 10/2/05 this year. Iplan tohunt all of the weekends and holidays, which equals 11 days. Then we have apermit only archery season in one unit only from 11/12/05 to 11/27/05 and 12/22/05 to 1/02/06. I have a permit for the period 11/12/05 to 11/20/05, and will try to get permits for as many of the remaining days as possible. Depending on how many I get, I may hunt and additional 5 to 10 days during these periods. Then we have a second open archery season from 11/28/05 to 12/21/05. I plan to hunt at least all 6 weekend days during this period. That's a total of 22 to 27 days of archery. I hunt dawn to dusk every day I'm out, so that's a lot of time in the woods.

I am also planning a 2 day archery hunt in N.C. during October, and a 2 day hog gun hunt in FL during December. I build upspousal credit with my wife all the rest of the year to cash in during hunting season. It seems to work for me. Haven't done the muzzleloader thing yet, but hmmm it wouldadd a few weeks of possibilities in October.

I hunt deer at least two days a week all season. UnlessI tag out early. But then theirs Pheasant, Duck & Geese.

I used to hunt 4 days each season. I am hoping to hunt for 2 full days every weekend throughout the season. That makes alot.
