Don't be too hard on yourself. Don't be too quick to be aggravated. Be patient. Practice mechanics. Get a bow properly fit for you. Practice mechanics. Read everything. Practice mechanics. Learn everything you can. Practice mechanics.

Archery is about attention to detail. Be tedious. Practice mechanics. When you are done with that, practice mechanics. :D

What mobowhuntr said hits it right on the head.Work to constantly improve,analyze your self constantly.Form above all else,if you have consistently excellant form you will develop in to an excellant archer.Most importantly have fun!!!

Get a good bow sling then when you release let the bow hit the floor and bounce twice before you try to pick it up!!! Seriously keep the bow hand relaxed and let the stabilizer do its job.

The best advise I could give would be: Don't be afraid to ask questions, you're not expected to know it all right off the bat.

Fear of looking dumb and asking "silly" questions kept me from bowhunting for nearly 6 years. Everybody in the archery shops/clubs seems to know it all and it can seem overwhelming to a beginner.

join a sportsmams club in order to get tips, practice, 3D targets, and alot of hunting tales. practice a little each day...dont over do it cause youll get bored and sloppy...10 -15 arrows a day, with good instruction and proper form and youll be giving good advice in this forum.....I hope youre a lefty...
