well i made it back, and we did very good. the big buck i was watching, my buddy got! he put a unbelievable stalk on him. he saw him across the canyon and followed a trail to a thick grassy area full of beds and trails. he layed down in one with only his head sticking out. he saw the buck coming down the hill, and got ready. the buck got to 30yards, and smelled something. he turned and walked to the down wind side. buddy stands up and buck stops and looks![:-] buddy says 55? yards and lets it rip, and wack montec right though the side of him! and 145 yards later on the hill side, legs got shaky and down he goes!
i did not get a deer no my daghter, wind was real tough all weekend. buddy saw and got pics. of a 4x5 bull, and i saw 2 5x5 today. i seen lots of deer but only 1-2 year old 3-4 tines per side. i really want to hold out for a better buck.
pics. of levi's buck, oh and those eye guards are 5" and one has a split!
