What the heck is it?

My first inclination is that this is a bear. To me, the ears are not as rounded as they should be for it to be a bear. I don't have any video editing software to enhance what I've got. Any ideas?

Ears don't look pointy enough for a bob cat. Camera looks really close so it could be smaller that it apperas. Wife says it is a racoon. Bahhh baahhhhh

I would have to say a cat of some kind. Bobcat possibly.

All I can make out is something that appears to be scratching itself with it's back paw. Too hard for me to tell if it's cat, canine or coon. I definately don't think it's a bear though.

I disagree, it looks like a veryyoung bear to me. (big floppy ears) Also the hair really looks like bear hair. Kind of coarse and prickly looking.

I dont think the ears are as pointy as they seem there, they are just being viewed from a side angle.

My speakers are broken; Is there any sound to the video?
If there is, did it make any noises that would help identify it?

That is a very young black bear. Thier earslook more pointy when they are young.

Am I the only one who thinks it's a dog?

El Chupa Cabra !!!

Hazcon7, I'm with you on the Chupa Cabra. But I think this one is a slightly different breed, called Chupa mì Chimbo.

But in all seriousness, I'm not really sure on what it is. I live in Northern Wisconsin. I've got the cam set up 3 feet off the ground. I'm leaning towards the idea that this is a cat, but I'm not positive on what kind of a cat yet. And to the guy who mentioned that he thought it could possibly be a panther (not to be confused with mt. lion), a well known trapper and logger claimed to see one two years ago about 10 miles from where this video was taken. There have also been random sightings of mt. lions. So I'm not ruling anything out as of yet.

House cat.It is right up close to the camera.I would have liked to seen it walk.I would have said bobcat, but it was scratching itself too long, and too fast.A wild cat is not going to make that much movement, and for that long without looking around for danger.Just My opinion.
