I built this climber on Wednesday. It weighs around 30 pounds. I'll update how it works after a few uses!;)

Most of the climbers in Cabelas are 20-35 lbs and some are aluminum.

my very first climber was home made..........................all steel all welded, in the old amacker design...........you can imagine how much that thing weighed, I guess around 40. I lugged it around for a while until it was stolen.

Very nice. As for the weight, whenever it started to feel heavy I would just think about the $200-$250 I saved, and I think that would lighten the load quite a bit. :D;)
