Bow question
 

Hi all, How was summer? Good to be back on Hunting net. Now for my question.
This is the year I finally spring for that new bow. My question is this. I generally shoot comfortably in the 60lb range. I can pull more but don't see the need for it. My question is knowing this, would a 50-60 lb bow set at max be better(more accurate, forgiving etc) Than a 60-70 lb bow set at min? Please explain why thanks.

It is best to shoot the bow at max ,than at its lowest waight.Go with the 50/60 good hunting.

Generally speaking a bow set at max is more effiicient than a bow set at its minimum weight setting though there are some bows lately who seemed to perform just as well in my opinion.

What is the downside of shooting at the min weight? because that is what im doing. Just curious.

Id go with the 60-70, just because it allows you to increase if you ever want to. 50-60, you are limiting yourself. If you are already shooting in the 60lb range, it would make no sence getting a bow that does not meet that range. Peak weight is more efficent, but then agian I dont think enought to make a difference. If you spend the money for a bow, you would kick yourself if you felt like increasing down the road. I like shooting 70lbs with a 65% let off. I did not get there over night. I started at 55lbs about 20 years ago. More I shot, the stronger I got. I upped my weight to increase my KE and to get less drop.

that is my oppinion. Id do what feels best for you.;)
