You have two options.
1) Divorce your mom and don't change your plans 2) Get off your lazy butt and help your mom out, someway, somehow. Bobby |
RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dang, sorry to hear that, maybe you will get a stroke of luck and get to go, just keep them fingers crossed!!
|
RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bobby, Who said he was lazy????
Like muley said make it happen..........JMO |
RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would be mowing grass or selling my baseball cards or something to give mom the extra gas money
|
RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started in March budgeting $5.00 a galon for gas and all Summer long I have mowed up to 4 yards a week, I made enough to have a new exhause system installed on my truck, buy the whole set of Cabela's Vanish Camo Pattern, a new set of T-5950 Motorola Talkabouts and I have three times my gas budget in my savings account.
Now all I am waiting on is for 14 days to pass. That isn't too bad. That said maybe you can find a few yards to mow.:) |
RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Depending on what your Mom drives and the mileage it gets, it may be cheaper to a) rent a compact econobox that gets 40+mpg, because if what she drives gets 20, the car would pay for itself plus some on the rental or b) look into a bus ticket if you have transportation when you get there.

RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a paper route, cut grass, pant garages, pull brush, yard work makes good money. Anything you can, just motivate yourself to do it. Get together with your hunting buddies and all of you chip in to get there. If none of the works, last resort, ASK GRANDMA, I bet she'll do it. Don't get down , there's a way, you haven't found it yet, but you will.

RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hunter,
When we go to KY we usually bring enough coolers to bring back our meat. We gut them in the field and try to hang them for a few days to age them at camp. When we break them down we skin and quarter and place in the cooler and pack good with ice. Leave the drainplug out of the coolers though. When we get back to FL we begin to process our own deer at our pace this allows us more time to hunt in KY and put a little more age on the deer meat. It also saves us a boatload of money since we usually process about 16 deer. Hope you get to go to KY this year I know I would be upset if I couldn't (unless I was going somewhere better)! Another option is skinning and quartering on the ground using the hide as a blanket, this is how I usually do hogs down here. It is not as easy as hanging them but for one person it is the easiest and cleanest way to quarter. If I can help you in anyway let me know!!! |

RE: NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Field dress the deer, get it hung up immediately, and skin it. Next, cut out the backstraps and tenderloins. Cut off the hindquarters and cut them in half so you have both hams seperate. Put all of your meat on ice and take it home. if you want, debone it then. This is my best idea of what to do. slayer good luck |
