If you are going to shoot "fingers"you do not want one of the new shorter bows unless you have at least 8" brace height because of finger pinch . The best bows for fingers shooters are bows at least 41" or longer ATA and less than 70% let off with a brace height of at least 7" . Reflex makes a model called the Carabou that Chuck Adams endorses .

If i were u, i would get one of the new mathews. if your shooting fingers, from what i have found out, don't get one of the short ones. get one of the longer ones for fingers.

If you go for the Mathews, get the rival pro. It is better suited for finger shooters. The Hoyt protec is also another good bow for finger shooters. I also think the Parker ultralite pro would work for a finger shooter. It is available in 65% let off. I think the protec would be your best bet though. Go to www.hoytusa.com and check it out.

Unfortunately, Reflex doesn't catalog the Caribou any longer, though I've heard an unsubstantiated rumor that it might come back shortly. I sure hope it does, because I can't drop a $700 bill on a ProTec.

If you have a sub-30" draw length you'd probably be okay with a 40" bow. You could go shorter and shoot 2-under. I saw a photo on the cover of some 3D magazine of a guy shooting a dinkybow 1-under!

Check out the Intensity by Firebrands Inc. It is 43 in tip to tip and a swooth shooter. It's basically a recurve with let off.

I agree there Di....I have seen some kicken short recurves (more recently longbows), that you could shoot very well with fingers! Oh btw its about as quiet as they come too! !!

When I shot wheels, the bow was 45" ata. Now I shoot a bow that's smooth, quiet, forgiving and accurate. All in a short 66" package. Can you say LONGBOW?
