I will admit that I'm a scent fanatic. I use a lot of Scent Killer. I tie my hunting clothes into a garbage bag filled with dirt, leaves, crabapples and sticks, and I'd rather not get dressed until I pull in to where I'm hunting. I wear knee-high rubber boots while I archery hunt, and wear latex rubber gloves until I'm actually set up in the tree.
I also have an old tube sock filled with baking sodaand tied off, sort of like a rosin bag. I keep it in a ziploc bag. I pull that out, and dust myself down when I get out of the car.
No gum, no snuff, no smokes, no food that isn't organic.

Earth wafers in my bow case...............earth spray for my stand and me............and I keep some local foliage in with my clothes if I remember........If I don't.......I don't.
My scent routine is basic and simple........takes about 2 minutes and truthfully sometimes I just don't do anything. I am concious of scent but not fanantical about it.
Never been winded by a deer............(I know, I know, I know.......if they avoid me I would never know ) That's life. Sometimes I clang my stand or have to cough or move a little too much.............I haven't noticed a problem with my routine so have no plans to change. I have well above average success in the areas I hunt compared to other hunters so that is enough for me.

On the way in to my stand I use my rubber boots to kick over a pile of leavesto expose the bare ground about 20yds from my stand (in a shooting lane).....more times than not,a deers nose will be sniffin the fresh dirt I kicked upwhen he gets popped.Curiousitykilled the cat...or was it the mouse....I'm thinkin' deer.

I wash with Scent free detergent and air dry ourside.
When I get to the hunting area Igrab dirt and leaves about 50 yards from the truck and rub that on my clothes. Makes it smell like home to the deer.
