well so much for the shockwaves,,when to gander mountian and seen the stingers and said to hell with it ill shoot those,,was going to next year any was,,but my question is why to they fly so crappy i took one out and shot it and the arrow porpisted and fishtailed like crazy and hit the bottom left of the target at 20,,the shockwave that i were going to hunt with these year did not do that and my field point fly fairly strait,,once in a while they will fishtail but not that bad,,any suggestion would be very appriciated

You have be baffled! I've been shooting the Stinger Buzzcuts and they fly better then any fix blade head that I have ever shot. I'm hitting the same spot as my fieldpoints and they fly like lazers. Sounds like a tuning problem.....

Obviously your bow is not tuned well enough. You say your field points fly fairly straight, but once in a while they fishtail. Something isn't right. Start with the bow. Then, the arrow. Did you spin the arrow when you put the Stinger on it to make sure there was no wobble, or did you just screw it on and shoot it?

screwed on a shoot,,i have no spintester if u have easy plans to make one id like to now,,that is also the way i did with shockwave with no trouble,,also what is all involved in tuning a bow other than finding centre shot and getting nocking point level with rest??

Paper tuning isgood way to tune your bow. Bare shaft tuning is too. Paper tuning is shooting through a sheet of paper, and evaluating the tear. For instance, if the tear is up, you need to lower your nocking point. Opposite if it is down. It's pretty simple, you just have to know how. Go to www.eastonarchery.com and download their tuning manual. Lots of very good information in there.
I have made my own spintester. It's pretty easy. I took two pieces of 1/4 inch plywood, about 12 inches long and 6 inches wide. In one of the sheets, I made 2 slots, just wide enough to get 2 ball bearings in without them having any room to move side to side. It is ok that the bearings are touching. I made one slot 1" from the front, and one slot 1" from the back. The size of the slots will be dependant on what size ball bearings, or marbles you are using. Then, screw the two pieces of plywood together face to face, and that's pretty much it. You can use anything, like a box, to set that on for some elevation. From there, you lay the arrow on the bearings and spin it, looking for any wobble.

I shoot 2315's as well. But my tips are 125 grain. With the Magnus Stingers, a little trick that I did was use some spare O-rings from NAP Thunderheads and put them on the Stingers so I could just get the Stingers snug and aligned vertical with the bow string.

Read through some of my threads and you'll read about my mistake with the 100gr Stingers versus shooting 125gr field tips, 125 T-heads, 125 Slick Tricks. Your bow sounds like it is a little out of whack with shooting broadheads. Do you shoot 100gr field tips? ...just curious

Something is WAY out of whack. Your arrows shouldn't fishtail "sometimes". It should do the same thing everytime. and If your Stingers are so far off, then something definitely is wrong.

Just got in from shooting my 125 4-blade stingers about 20min ago......flying like darts. Gotta be a bow tuning problem. Stand 3-4 ft from paper and shoot thru it.....I'm guessing you'll tear it in half. Good luck, hope you get it figured out, there great heads.

I agree you have a tuning issue. go to www.broadheadtests.com and click on the tuning page. It will get you started. There are also some links to other sites that provide tuning info.
